Life is hard. Keeping up with relationships and responsibilities can seem impossible at times. When we struggle, we are desperate to cope. Sometimes how we cope isn't healthy or productive. Some people develop addictions (i.e., alcohol,shopping, gambling), while others "hide away from the world". Whichever your situation, I want to help. It might feel like there is little to no hope sometimes, but the fact that you are searching options proves you have motivation. This is your first step to feeling better. I want to help you the rest of the way. Your well-being is my priority.
The goal of psychotherapy with me is not only to alleviate your current level of distress, but to also examine your life to provide you with insight into yourself. With this self-awareness, the liklihood of you making the right changes in your life will increase.
In addition to my private practice, I am a University Psychologist at Florida International University where I provide therapeutic intervention to a diverse population. I also supervise/train upcoming psychologists and mental health counselors. I am an adjunct professor for the graduate counseling programs in the Departments of Psychology and Education

If your insurance provider is different from those listed above, I will work with your insurance as an "out-of-network provider". It is a relatively easy process and I will help you with it throughout treatment. First, you will need to call your insurance company and ask about your mental health "out-of-network" benefits. If you have a Point Of Service (POS) plan, you can see me and your insurance company WILL cover a percentage of your fee. If you have a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plan, you can see me and part of your fee MAY be covered.
You will pay my fee at the time of our session and I will provide you receipts that you can submit directly to your insurance company for reimbursement. |
