| Practice Description: |
Sometimes negative moods, thoughts, and behaviors seem to come from nowhere; people feel like they can't control them. Thinking positively, being optimistic, doing the right thing... nothing really seems to work. Negative moods and thoughts can be overwhelming, and interfere with daily functioning.
- Does constant worrying reduce your ability to concentrate or deal with small stressors calmly?
- Are depressed moods keeping you from enjoying your life and the people in it?
- Maybe your child is struggling? Are their moods erratic? Their grades dropping?
As a licensed clinical psychologist I can help.
I specialize in treating anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder, eating disorders and childhood behavioral problems.
I work with each patient to help them understand why they experience negative thoughts and feelings, and teach them effective methods to create lasting change. Through the most appropriate combination of individual and/or group psychotherapy, seminars and workshops, I help restore balance and control in day to day life.
People seeking therapy have a variety of issues that require different approaches. By providing therapy, groups and seminars I can accommodates people who need regular care and those who just want a little more information.
I have over seven years of experience working as a therapist in hospital and outpatient settings. I have provided direct services to families of children with autism, have worked in an eating disorder treatment center, and conduct psychological testing.
