Both myself and my associate, Dr. Carolyn Baird, started out as psychiatric nurses and then obtained graduate degrees. Mine is a Master in Science in Counseling and Dr. Baird's is a Doctorate in Nursing Practice. We are both trauma therapists and utilize EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) as our main therapy for mental health trauma. Because we are both nurses we understand the mind / body connection. Carolyn is also a nationally published expert in addictions. Counseling and Trauma Services LLC provides counseling for people experiencing depression, anxiety problems, family problems, exposure to natural or man made disasters, abuse and war, domestic violence and many other problems.
