The Awakened Mind Institute's (AMI) founder, Dr. Parker Wilson, specializes in the treatment of depression, drug and alcohol addiction, sex addiction, psychological trauma, anxiety and compulsion, and chronic anger problems. In addition to individual therapy sessions with adults and teens, Dr. Wilson offers couple's and group counseling. Dr. Wilson's main intervention is mindfulness based cognitive psychotherapy (MBCT).
Parker Wilson is a doctor of clinical psychology and the founder of the Awakened Mind Institute. Dr. Wilson is a lecturer in psychology at the University of Colorado at Denver, a teacher of Eastern psychology and meditation, a published author, and an accomplished public speaker.
