Practice Description: If you or someone you love is feeling stuck, overwhelmed, and tired of feeling sad, angry, or anxious or even afraid of making the tough steps toward health or change, schedule a free consultation to find out more about how I can help.

People who have regularly come to see me over the last 15 years have found that I'm invested in helping people through those tough places and struggles we all find ourselves in. I believe deeply in first exploring how people want/need to be supported and tailoring therapeutic experiences that truly fit.

I specialize in working with older children, adolescents, young adults, and families who need support through transitions, grief/loss, stressful relationships, destructive patterns of behavior, stress of attending school, and a variety of mental and emotional health issues.

Individual, group, and family therapy focuses on the whole person (physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual), while nurturing a warm atmosphere with direct, honest, and confidential communication.

Older children, adolescents and young adults are often supported in meeting the challenges of high school/college life, significant relationships, low self-esteem, stress, depression, and anxiety. We find new ways of working through old issues that keep us stuck and struggling to find understanding, meaning, and peace in our day-to-day lives.

Parents are supported in working with parenting issues, confronting oppositional and defiant behaviors, and responding to disruptive or even dangerous conduct.

Together we focus on building strengths and making contact with internal resources and the community of resources around us.

Adventure and wilderness intensives are offered for those clients who feel ready (and have a desire) to deepen their relationship with the natural world and explore the edges of their comfort zone. Couples and Family retreats are regularly offered, well attended, and nationally recognized for empowering and transforming people's lives.

We use our time for your personal growth and exploration of core issues that require attention and awareness as a developing professional.

As the Clinical Director at Equinox Counseling and Wellness Center, the people I work with have access to a broad range of therapeutic opportunities, from equine assisted psychotherapy, to therapeutic rock climbing, to a backcountry wilderness intensive. With other counseling specialists as a resource, we can collaborate, and adjust who clients work with. Female therapists are also on staff and can support people that have a gender preference.

Equinox has comfortable offices in Boulder and Denver, for those that prefer an office setting for therapy. We also make available to people the flexibility of in-home sessions, and frequently see people for sessions in local natural, open space settings. Whether in in the office, at your home or on a hike, we find the setting that fits what you need the most.

Our mission is to be the leading source for professional counseling, promoting self-awareness and intentional living through integrated, empowering experiences that result in lasting change.

Live Intentionally!
