I am a psychodynamically trained psychotherapist with thirty years of experience. I create the kind of comfortable safe place that encourages the self expression, awareness and acceptance that lay the ground work for change.
Being able to express your thoughts and feelings and have them responded to by a competent empathic clinician is essential for healing.
I blend traditional psychotherapy with additional methods: visualization, relaxation training and EMDR. Traditional psychotherapy is more effective when enhanced by these methods.
Human nature is inherently resilient. Our minds seek a positive state and emotional balance. Being anxious and depressed is not a natural state.
