| Practice Description: |
I help clients who feel "stuck" in many aspects of their lives work through blocks and obstacles to happiness. I work with a range of issues, and in addition to individual psychotherapy, EMDR therapy and couples therapy, I also provide life coaching for clients interested in a more active, goal-oriented approach. In my private practice, I focus on helping clients develop healthier self-esteem, find direction in their lives, reach their potential, have healthy and satisfying relationships, manage crises or life transitions, build resiliency, reduce stress and anxiety, and manage and cope with difficult emotions. I work collaboratively with clients developing trusting and supportive relationships in an effort to develop an understanding of why they are struggling and to help clients reach their therapy and life goals.
I am an advanced EMDR trained therapist and have expertise helping adolescents and adults work through trauma, abuse, phobias, obsessions, compulsions, anxiety, depression, addictions, stress and performance problems, infidelity and sexual difficulties. The EMDR protocol is powerfully effective for enhancing peak performance for performers, artists, business leaders, public speakers and professional athletes as well as others who are motivated to reach goals beyond their present competency.
I specialize in working with smart, successful people who feel "stuck" and/or struggle with creativity blocks, self-defeating patterns, identity concerns, relationship problems and lack of fulfillment. Many also suffer from either situational or long-standing feelings of depression, anxiety and feelings of inadequacy. Depending on client needs and goals, my practice style is integrative, blending psychodynamic psychotherapy, EMDR, CBT, coaching and mindfulness techniques in an individualized approach.
Feel free to call with any questions or for more information about my practice.
