| Practice Description: |
I specialize in a variety of emotional and mental health issues such as, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, persistent mental illness, anger management, adult children of alcoholics, life transitions, obsessive compulsive disorder, co-dependency, stress management, time management and life coaching.
I hold a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health. I have advanced educational training and over twelve years of professional experience dealing with a wide range of behavioral health needs. At this time I primarily work with adults, couples, and families. I love what I do and I enjoy helping people grow. I think upon meeting me you will find this to be true.
In my practice, I work primarily from an integrative therapeutic approach. Integrative therapy embraces different schools of psychotherapy. I work from an existential, as well as a cognitive behavioral therapeutic approach. Existentialism states that you do not simply exist, but rather always decide what your existence will be, what you will become in the next moment. Existentialisim is about self-determination and the will to overcome your anxiety provoking obstacles.
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is very popular and effective. It is based on the idea that our thoughts cause our feelings and behaviors, not external things, like people, situations, and events. I also practice something called cogntive restructuring and would encourage you to please visit my website for further information about myself and my practice.
