Psychotherapy/Counseling EMDR Therapy

| Practice Description: |
I believe the connection between therapist and client -- person to person -- is the most important element in the therapeutic relationship. What I bring to the relationship is warmth, caring, and a gentle and compassionate presence. I have a deep faith in your ability to transform your life, empowering you to discover what works and change what doesn't, helping you find your own truth and path. My approach is gentle, yet potent. Using EMDR (www.emdr.com) and EFT (www.emofree.com) as highly effective tools, I help you to release negative patterns and beliefs and build positive resources and strengths.
We work together to enhance your skills and coping in the following areas: * Self-esteem, empowerment, personal and spiritual growth * Relationships, communication, intimacy * Depression, anxiety, anger, grief, loss, stress * Trauma, abuse, PTSD * Life transitions - marriage, divorce, career, birth, relocation * Pregnancy/infertility issues, postpartum adjustment * Women's issues, multiracial/multicultural issues
I have over fifteen years of experience counseling clients from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of issues. I provide individual and couples therapy, and have extensive training as an EMDR therapist. I also have special expertise in treating postpartum depression and related disorders, and I facilitate a Mothers Supporting Mothers Group.
Please call for a free initial phone consultation at 619-220-4680. I look forward to speaking with you to see how I can be of help!
