| Practice Description: |
Do you feel crazy at times? Have you ever thought that you are losing your mind? Have you been in therapy but nothing seems to help the overwhelming feelings from eventually coming back? Have you been hospitalized? Do you use self-harming behaviors to keep from losing yourself? Do you have a history of abuse, assault or trauma as an adult or a child? Would you like to have a life worth living? Then you have come to the right place. I specialize in treating women with a multitude of problems. Many of the women that see me have a history of abuse or trauma. Often they experienced sexual, emotional or physical abuse as a child or young adult. Some have been in abusive relationships. Almost all are struggling to manage getting through each day without falling apart. These women typically have families, spouses or partners. Most are working, many in the health professions trying to help others while being unable to help themselves. They are tired of continuing to survive without being able to really live their lives. If you are one of these women please contact me at The Abuse and Trauma Treatment Center for Women. Prolonged Exposure Therapy is a research based treatment that has shown more than 70% improvement in symptoms for more than 85% of the people that participate in the treatment. It is the only treatment that has consistently shown significant results in reducing or eliminating Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Symptoms. This is the only treatment to date (2/09) that has had consistent results.
If you are struggling with an Eating Disorder please contact the Beachwood office for details.
