Each person brings their unique belief system to therapy. That is where we start--right where you are. I use a collaborative and relationally focused approach to therapy.
I believe that therapy can be a discovery of what it means to be true to your self as an individual, as well as what it means to be true to your self while in relationship with others. Through conscious choices, it is possible to find enriched personal meaning in our lives and in our relationships, even in the midst of perplexing or difficult life situations.
I see individuals, couples, partners, and families through various stages of life. The work I have done with my clients has focused on how issues related to those stages of life impact them, and how they learn to trust the process of change and find their personal courage to engage in their own emotional growth. Those issues may include relationship conflicts, communication issues, family transitions, occupational transitions, family of origin issues, aging, chronic illness, trauma, and grief issues.
