| Practice Description: |
My practice focuses on couples counseling and individual therapy and I offer both short and long-term therapy.
I believe I can help you with all of your relationship concerns; from being single and seeking a relationship to adjusting from a divorce or the loss of a partner. If you are single and hoping to create a relationship you will be able to address any unhealthy patterns that might be getting in the way of creating the relationship you have been wanting. When you are ready you will learn how to attract the kind of partner you have been searching for and feel better about yourself during the process. If you have lost your partner you can get support during the grieving process and begin rebuilding your life.
If you are in a relationship I can assist you with keeping passion alive over time, improving communication, making a deeper commitment, healing after an affair, or separating from your partner if that is the healthiest option. I have successfully helped multiple couples in times of crisis to stay together.
Another area of expertise I offer is to help you face an addiction and enter into the recovery process if/when you are ready. In our work together you will be able to determine if you do indeed have an addiction, gain understanding into why your addiction began, and decide what to do about it now. During the recovery process you will learn healthier ways to cope with the stressors in your life and obtain tools to avoid relapse and remain in recovery on an ongoing basis.
My practice also focuses on working with individuals in the military & veterans. I can assist you and your family with the issues common to enlisted personnel and military veterans. I can help you and your spouse cope with the struggles of deployment and temporary separation; with reintegration back into the community upon your return from deployment; and I can support you with transitions back into civilian life upon ending enlistment or retiring. We will also be able to address any post traumatic stress disorder issues. You will learn skills that will help you and your family cope with life in and out of the military.

| Additional Comments: |
I accept only clients in my private practice whom I believe have the capacity to resolve their own problems with my assistance. You will be able to tell if the counseling is effective. Trust your instincts about whether or not I am the right therapist for you. Feeling confident about who you have chosen to work with is an essential part of the therapeutic process.
Some clients need only a few sessions to achieve their goals, while others may require a longer period of time in therapy to obtain the results they are looking for. You may end the counseling at any point and I will be supportive of that decision. If therapy is successful, you should feel that you are able to face life’s challenges in the future without my support. |
