| Practice Description: |
Most people at some time in their life could benefit from counseling. In considering therapy, you're not alone! I can help you explore your challenges and reach your goals. Counseling can help heal the underlying issues that you have worked so hard to resolve "on your own."
Chronic stress and unresolved emotional issues can cause a host of problems including physical illness, a toll on relationships and career. Going through the healing process with a trained professional can help you achieve results that are sometimes tough to achieve by yourself. I have experience helping people reach their goals.
Counseling can help you: Grow and heal as an individual and also within your personal relationships. Let go of past difficulties and patterns that continue to overshadow your life such as divorce, trauma, and abuse. Enhance communication in your relationships. Learn new ways to cope and thrive. Premarital counseling to help plan and prepare for a long and healthy partnership.
I am very interactive during our sessions and enjoy helping my clients tap into their innate gifts. My clients tell me they appreciate my interactive style. Clients also say they appreciate a neutral third party that can give them expert feedback-which makes the counseling relationship uniquely different than any other relationship with your friends or family. Therapy is a place where you can come to both get support AND to be challenged into trying new strategies to improve your life.
I use proven techniques (including EMDR and CBT) to help people reach their personal goals. I am experienced working with issues of depression, trauma, anxiety, the emotional impact of chronic pain, and grief and loss. I work with individuals, couples (including LGBT), and teens. I have post-graduate training in trauma issues, attachment therapy, sand tray therapy, play therapy, and anxiety.
