| Practice Description: |
You may be here because your life is feeling a bit out of control. You may be feeling depressed or anxious, possibly frustrated with emotions that change quickly. My approach begins with listening and developing a non-judgmental understanding of what brings you to therapy at this time in your life. We then work together on helping you move toward the life you want to be living. I enjoy helping adolescents and adults create a more meaningful life, cope more effectively with stress and improve their relationships.
Our emotions rise out of a combination of individual biology, life experiences and how we think about what's going on in our life each day. With mindfulness, acceptance and compassion, I provide evidence-based treatments of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). These are treatments that have demonstrated effectiveness in clinical research studies.

As a courtesy to you, insurance can billed on a weekly basis. However, payment is due on the day of the session unless prior arrangements have been made. This office accepts cash, personal checks, Mastercard and Visa.
While I'm not in-network with any insurance, many policies offer out-of-network benefits. Your insurance company will be able to help you figure out what your insurance company may cover and how much they will reimburse you for visits. Insurance companies are sometimes willing to pay for out-of-network DBT if they do not have a comprehensive DBT program in their network. I can be helpful in negotiating this, as needed. |
