Practice Description: Is this you?

You're up again, worried about things - at work, home and in the world. It's hard to get the rest you need. Your anxiety feels overwhelming and sometimes you even have panic attacks. If you could only stop worrying all the time!

Or maybe you have trouble feeling excited about anything in your life - it's just more of the same. There are times you wish you could have a good cry, but you actually feel numb or dead inside. It's often hard to focus on your daily tasks.

Or maybe you're troubled by your relationship - you had that fight again, the one you have all the time. Things get better for a time, then deteriorate to slammed doors, angry silences, or knock-down, drag-out fights. You can't live this way much longer.

There's hope.

Whether you are troubled by anxiety, depression or relationship difficulties, I can help you access the strength within yourself to move forward in your life. First off, I'll listen to the pain and frustration - you'll have a place to be where you're not judged, but understood. Second, we will work together to form a vision of yourself or your relationship which is loving, compassionate, flexible and, most importantly - livable. The pathway to this vision will be worked on both within and between your sessions.

I utilize an integrative model which takes in account your family history and dynamics, as well as the beliefs you've formed about yourself, others and the world. I strongly believe that getting in touch with the present moment can be very healing. The "here and now" of the therapy session both serves as a mirror and a workshop - a mirror to who you are in the world and in your relationships, and a place to try out new ways of being, behaving and believing.

What you can expect of me as a therapist is that I will be honest, compassionate, caring, as well as a bit challenging, too. Therapy can be tough and painful at times. I won't lie to you about that - no ethical therapist will. But I will promise to do my best for you, and if that means involving other professionals, I am more than open to that.

I know that starting this process can be difficult but I also know that if you're reading this, there's a very healthy part of you that wants positive change. I certainly hope you'll follow through and make that call or send that email. After all, you deserve a good night's sleep, to be excited by your life, and to have the loving relationship you've always dreamed about.
