| Practice Description: |
Have you experienced an event that interferes with your ability to cope and enjoy your life? Difficult events may lead to feeling stuck in a cycle of fear and hopelessness. Healing involves integrating these experiences into a place where safety and trust are regained. I have successfully helped clients to learn to accept the unexplainable and unimaginable and grow as a result.
My training and experience extend to many issues which can coexist with surviving a difficult situation, including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, obsessive thoughts, attachment problems, personality disorders, substance abuse, self-mutilating behaviors and dissociative disorders. I enjoy working with pre-teens, adolescents, and adults. Working with military families is another area of my specialization. I am certified by the Center for Deployment Psychology. I have training and experience in the blending of spirituality and psychology, which some find a beneficial part of their counseling experience. My clients tell me I have the ability to connect with empathy, compassion, and genuine concern.
