| Practice Description: |
I believe that change can happen within a warm, trusting, therapeutic relationship for anyone who has the motivation. The breadth and depth of my experience and training, plus 20 years of working with a diversity of problems, has taught me that given the right conditions, we can lead the life we were meant to live and have healthy relationships. I focus on helping people treat symptoms and problems as indicators that something in their lives is out of balance, and needs to be given more consciousness. The ability to live consciously means that we attend to our inner lives as well as our outer lives, and hold these two together in a way that brings balance and wholeness. I see therapy as collaborative work between my clients and myself. No matter where a person is stuck emotionally, paying attention together to what is blocked in the psyche can free them from patterns of behaviors that are counterproductive, and allow them to hear the inner wise self that exists in us all.
