Jo-Ann H. Bird is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and a Board Certified Clinical Sexologist providing therapy services in the Tampa Bay area. Dr. Bird is also a Diplomat and Supervisor of the American Board of Sexology and a Qualified Supervisor with the State of Florida. She provides individual therapy for adults, of any sexual orientation or gender, that have questions/concerns regarding communication, intimacy, sexual function, sexuality, and sexual expression.
In addition to individual therapy, she works with her husband, Dr. Chuck Bird, Ph.D., RN, providing couples counseling/coaching. They coach/counsel couples together which offers a unique and balanced male/female perspective and a combined coaching/therapy approach to helping couples with a variety of relationship and sexual issues/concerns. Due to their last name and the work they do, they have become known as "The Love Birds™".
