| Practice Description: |
I believe that the goals of psychotherapy are self-acceptance, insight, and change. Providing my clients with a safe and comfortable environment is the foundation for the process of therapy. I work in an empathic, non-judgmental, and direct manner. I believe that change comes from exploring where difficulties originated as well as exploring what people want and need in their lives. I work collaboratively with people to find solutions to the obstacles in their lives and on finding what makes them happy.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist and my practice is located in Towson in Baltimore County, MD, ten minutes north of Baltimore City. I have been in private practice for the past 6 years and have been practicing in the Baltimore area for the past 9 years. The focus of my practice is providing therapy for adults, adolescents, and couples as well as conducting psychological and forensic evaluations. My specific areas of focus include posttraumatic stress disorder, relationship issues, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, anger management, gay/lesbian issues, and personality disorders. If you are interested or have questions about my practice or services that I offer, please contact me or go to my website for more information at www.drjessicaschwarting.com.
