| Practice Description: |
When we find ourselves stuck in a painful place, and what we are already doing to ease our pain is not working well enough, then it may be a good time to seek support and assistance from a psychotherapist.
My approach to doing therapy is collaborative. I believe that all people innately know what they need in order to heal. I provide a safe space of warmth, compassion, and acceptance in which to explore, recover, and heal. I adopt a holistic approach to therapy (mind, body, spirit), and work from several different treatment modalities depending on the issues you bring in. I will work with you to both reduce your current suffering, and help you gain awareness of old patterns of thinking that no longer serve you- patterns and habits we all have. This process is intended to empower you cope with difficult situations, and/or to make desired changes in your life and relationships.
Some of my areas of specialization include: anxiety, recovery from trauma, grief and loss, grief and loss due to sudden trauma, depression, life transitions, and issues related to self-esteem and confidence. I am also trained in Mindfulness Based treatment for anxiety, stress, and depression, and find that it brings wonderful relief to many people.
I am happy to answer any questions, or to discuss your particular needs by phone or email. If you would like to set up an appointment, you can either call (310) 283-6370 or feel free to email me. I look forward to meeting you.
