| Practice Description: |
As we go through life, we all develop particular patterns for dealing with challenges. Although some of these patterns are very helpful, some actually get in the way of reaching our goals. Sometimes we're not even aware of what we're doing or thinking which may be sabotaging our happiness and success. In therapy, I will give you direct feedback which will illuminate these problematic patterns. This will allow you to understand how to overcome these obstacles to finding deeper satisfaction in your life. As a therapist with over 15 years of experience, I have helped many adolescents, as well as adults, work through depression and anxiety. My areas of expertise include relationship conflicts, body image issues, bereavement, survivors of physical and sexual abuse, and postpartum depression. My longstanding contemplative practice has brought an important perspective to my work. In addition to my psychodynamic foundation, studying the somatic aspect of psychology has helped me create change with people on a deep emotional level. Just making the decision to take action is an important step forward. Working together we can discover specific ways you can move beyond the limiting patterns in your life.

In addition to seeing individuals, I have helped many couples and families find more fulfillment in their relationships. Working with parents and teenagers navigating the difficult years of adolescence has also been a very rewarding part of my practice. |
