| Practice Description: |
Everyone experiences anxiety, hardship, loss and uncertainly in life. It can be an overwhelming and confusing experience to navigate, and often times intimidating to initiate any change, even if you know it is the right thing to do. With appropriate guidance, struggles can readily be transformed into potent opportunities for a better life. I offer a fresh perspective and professional counsel to help you in realizing optimum well being. For over 30 years I have helped people to create balance, health and joy in their lives. Counseling provides a safe container to break through self limiting patterns. Because it is such a personal decision as to who you choose to work with, I offer a free introductory session for you to get a feeling for who I am and how I work.
In counseling we excavate unconscious beliefs and thought patterns, and reprogram your mind to be your best ally. The unconditioned mind is completely free; free to be and do what you desire.
When you are able to cut through the self negating beliefs that hold you hostage, unlimited possibilities emerge. We pinpoint where trauma or pain has impeded your natural flow of energy and constricted your life, and release its hold, restoring natural vitality. Life becomes more of a feast than a burden. When you are able to live from your core wisdom everything becomes more effortless; work, relationships, and daily life flow with ease.
My work is both practical and expansive. You will experience definitive changes in your life as a result of our work. You gain practical tools that empower you to meet life's challenges more effectively and to experience more joy. Relationships improve and symptoms subside. The success of therapy depends upon the skill and precision of the therapist and your ability to do the work; with over 25 years of experience I am able to quickly get to what needs attention and find resolution. I enjoy my work and bring humor, kindness and compassion to all that I do.
My areas of specialty include: Anxiety, depression addictions, mood disorders, relationship issues, life transitions, PTSD,intimacy and sexuality, mind/body integration, chronic pain and illness, spiritual growth, dream work, creativity, stress issues, meditation, and brainspotting.
Being a guide to individuals on their healing journey is my passion. My commitment is to provide an environment that is compassionate, clear and catalyzing for individuals, couples and groups to stretch the bounds of their being. Of particular interest to me is working with couples, which I consider pioneering work. In this time of paradigm shift the expectations and dynamics of relationships have completely changed. The roles that guided the prior generation are no longer viable. Couples are exploring new, more authentic ways of relating, beyond roles and convention. I provide an opportunity for each member of the couple to feel equally heard, seen and respected in a safe environment that promotes breaking patterns and finding joy in your relationship. My background is diverse. I have worked with individuals and couples, facilitated groups in both the public and private sector over the past 28 years. Some of the groups I have facilitated include Stress Reduction, Wellness in the Workplace, Healing Trauma, Cultivating Intuition, Body, Sex and Soul, Eartherapy and others. In 1995 I co-authored a program and book entitled "Stress Management and Wellness" which is taught today in community corrections nation wide. I work with individuals, couples and groups from late adolescence to adulthood. I also work with individuals over the telephone or on Skype if you are unable to attend sessions in person. Please feel free to contact me for a complimentary session. I look forward to meeting you!
Warm regards, Jane
