Working with people is my passion. Assisting clients through life's challenging trials requires an attentive, present, and compassionate listener. Successful navigation past such life stressors often requires professional guidance. With over 10 years of clinical experience in behavioral change and motivation enhancement I am effectively able to treat clients dealing with issues such as: Depression, Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, PTSD, OCD, Phobias, Addiction issues, Chronic pain, Grieving Issues, and Relationship problems.
My other professional interests include developing and delivering various training seminars for health care providers and clients on motivation and addiction therapy.
I am licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Minnesota, and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois. My certification as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in Minnesota is pending.
I am also a Licensed Psychologist in Quebec where I established my first private practice.
I've held positions at mood disorder clinics, an agoraphobic research group, an addiction and rehabilitation facility, my private psychology practice and as Vice President of Gambling Addiction Programs at a large employee assistance program company. I have experience providing therapy in multi-cultural settings in English, French and Spanish.
