My role is to join with my clients as a guide and companion on their journey toward healing and wholeness. I provide a safe and nurturing space within which we can work together to uncover and heal emotional wounds, break through anxiety and depression, develop positive ways of dealing with life's difficulties, and grow in our ability to be our true and authentic selves.
I use a variety of approaches that I tailor to the specific needs and requirements of my clients; however, some general statements can be made about my work. It is psychodynamic, in that we look at how unconscious, repressed experiences and feelings affect current functioning. It is emotion-focused, in that we seek the uncovering and processing of repressed feelings as the primary way toward healing. It is interactive, because I actively and empathically listen and respond to what my clients bring to the session. It is collaborative, in that I use a teamwork approach to our work together.

I am willing to work with my clients to bill their insurance companies, as long as their policy provides out of network coverage. My clients pay their fee or, when insurance coverage is available, their portion of the fee by check or cash at the end of each session. |
