| Practice Description: |
The nature of each psychological problem dictates the appropriate approach to follow. In general, I apply the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach. However, whenever I work with families or situations that require a more global view , I conceptualize the problem from a System's Theory point of view, where the individual problem is seen in the context of other influential forces. Similarly, an individual, regardless of age would benefit best from an approach that considers his or her stage of development, life circumstances and experience. Couples and families go through similar transitions, just like the life of individuals. My goal is to help a person learn to adapt optimally to life's circumstances and learn new coping strategies to overcome past traumas or present challenges.
