| Practice Description: |
I believe that therapy allows for movement within a person: a movement that liberates the human spirit; a movement that provides energy and skills for growth. Life unfolds one day at a time. When a person feels overwhelmed by past events and /or current challenges, moving along in the present, joyfully and hopefully, gets waylaid. Therapy helps people get back on track in new and satisfying ways.
I have worked for 25 years with people at different points in their lives, from children to retired individuals. I am honored to approach life challenges with individuals.
I see people of differing racial and ethnic backgrounds. I lived abroad and provided therapy in Spanish for over 7 years. I have worked with war and massacre survivors and families touched by trauma and continue to be interested in this work.
I have also worked in school settings in the US addressing parenting and behavioral challenges and acculturation.
My passion as a therapist comes from the belief that life is a precious gift and each person deserves to live this gift as fully as possible.
