I value the importance of assisting individuals from a whole-person perspective by examining thoughts, feelings, physical health, nutrition, socialization, and spirituality. It is important that each person is evaluated for a treatment approach that meets his/her unique needs. I value creativity and compassion in counseling and find that people thrive when they experience genuine caring and positive but honest support. Additionally, my background in Exercise Science and professional experience as a personal trainer has influenced my counseling perspective. At Forte Counseling Center, we embrace assisting an individual with mental health and physical fitness with Therapeutic Fitness Training which merges the fields of counseling and personal training.
