The Welling Group offers coaching and counseling to individuals looking to improve the quality of their lives in the areas of relationships, families, personal, professional, academically and spiritually. I graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Counseling as well as School Counseling from Xavier University in Cincinnati and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). I also maintain my school counseling license. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with a minor concentration in Health from the College of Charleston in South Carolina. In my practice I use a holistic approach in the counseling process by looking at all aspects that effect the human condition including one’s physical, emotional, social, and spiritual health. I have worked with individuals with issues including: anxiety, phobias, adjustment issues, depression, marital/ relational challenges, assertiveness training, self-esteem, empowerment, communication as well as many others. In addition I hold a Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) certification for extensive training related to substance abuse issues. Delivering presentations on this topic for continuing education units (CEU’s) for lawyers, social workers and therapists allows me to continue to keep up to date with the developing research in the area of addiction. Being a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) also keeps me fresh with new approaches for my counseling practice. If you really want something then it is absolutely possible with the appropriate tools and I work with my clients to find and develop these tools for a happier and healthier quality of life. My experience has included assessing, diagnosing and treating individuals with issues ranging from life transitional stress to severe emotional and mental disorders. I love when clients have an “aha” moment and change their lives as a result of feeling empowered to make their wishes a reality.
