| Practice Description: |
“I offer compassionate understanding and support in a safe and comfortable environment. I have successfully helped many people find relief from anxiety and depression and to improve their relationships. By incorporating body, mind and spirit in a practical approach to growth and change, obstacles and challenges become opportunities for growth and fulfillment, while confusion and emotional pain become clarity and wisdom. As we learn to see things without distortions and judgements, anger is transformed into compassion. Fear dissolves into acceptance, allowing us to be fully present and alive to experience joy and happiness.
I utilize an experiential mix of styles including Cognitive Behavioral, Psychodynamic, Humanistic and Family Systems theories, blended with mindfulness practice. This process gently but effectively expands your capacity to enjoy life, and removes hidden beliefs and old traumas that keep you from living as a free human being.
I bring to my work years of meditation and spiritual practice as well as my formal education in Clinical Psychology. In addition, I am associated with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) as a Family to Family Educator, helping families cope with psychiatric illness.”
