Practice Description: You would like to make a change in your life, but you know it can be easier to do so with a little help. I firmly believe that therapy can help you make the changes needed to become unstuck and to move forward with your life. I would love to help guide you through this process. As an Integrative Psychologist, I draw from various therapeutic methods and schools of thought, and I tailor therapy to your unique needs. In sessions, we will identify what you want from your life, as well as what you might be doing to hold yourself back from living the life you want. When there is a big gap between what you value and what you are currently experiencing, you are likely to feel discomfort or suffering. Let's figure out what you can do about that gap. Sometimes what you must do is move toward a greater level of acceptance and self-compassion. If that is what's needed, we can work on helping you learn to do so.

I work best with individual adults who want to better manage their anxiety or depressive symptoms, who are adjusting to a loss or to a life-transition, or who want to increase their sense of self-trust, self-compassion, or self-esteem. I also work well with people-pleasers and those who have tended to prioritize others' needs or expectations over their own. I enjoy using elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness and self-compassion work, as well as insight-oriented therapies to help people tune back into their own needs and wants so they can live more in harmony with their values.

Although I will listen and offer empathy in sessions, I will also offer direct feedback, when appropriate, to help guide you toward a greater understanding of your patterns and behaviors. Change can only occur from a place of awareness and understanding of oneself. I think of therapy as a collaborative experience, and I look forward to working with you to help you achieve your goals.
