| Practice Description: |
As parents, it is painful to see your child struggling at home or at school. It is essential that children learn important social-emotional skills such as making friends, interacting positively with others, solving problems and working in a structured environment in order to be successful. Research has shown that appropriate early diagnosis and intervention are associated with rapid improvement and prevention of later difficulties in the majority of cases. If you have any concerns about your child’s social, emotional or behavioral functioning I encourage you to seek help early.
I have a keen interest in working with children and have professional experience covering a variety of settings including: outpatient care, daycare centers and schools. My background includes extensive training in child psychology and therapy techniques designed for children and adolescents, including play and cognitive-behavioral therapies. I specialize in the treatment of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder and other disruptive behavior disorders. I am also experienced in the treatment of a range of other difficulties including anxiety, depression and helping children through bereavement. If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me for a free phone consultation.
