Psychotherapy/Counseling Treatment for Adults - Women and Men Pre-Teen and Teenagers Couples
|
| Practice Description: |
I greatly enjoy my work as a therapist and feel privileged to be able to help people feel better and more empowered through working together in therapy. I know that making the decision to start therapy and finding the right therapist can be quite a confusing and overwhelming task. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental therapeutic environment for you to feel safe and talk about your concerns, whether you are a teen, adult or couple. My goal as a psychotherapist is to help individuals live more fulfilled lives, whether it is short-term treatment to help clients regain their sense of well-being or more long-term work to help them gain insight and empower them to make changes in their lives.
I particularly enjoy working with teens, women and couples. For 15 years, I have been providing psychotherapy and counseling to teens and their parents. In addition to feeling better and more able to cope with their concerns, teens develop more self-awareness, self-esteem and learn new skills to help them move through the difficult transition from childhood to adulthood. I help their parents understand their child's mental health and developmental issues and assist them in finding ways to parent with age-appropriate parenting interventions. In my work with women, I help them gain self-awareness and confidence in order to feel strong as individuals and assist them in learning the difference between a healthy and abusive relationship. I help couples improve their communication, resolve conflict and understand their belief systems and the external stressors that are impacting their relationship.
I suggest that you visit my website at www.heartandmindtherapy.com for more information or contact me for a free phone consultation.
