| Practice Description: |
I enjoy connecting with my clients and facilitating personal growth. I see therapy as a wellness endeavor and therefore beneficial to anyone. I have fifteen years of experience doing psychotherapy. I have been in private practice for six years. I have worked in various inpatient, partial hospitalization, and outpatient settings, including two hospitals (private general and psychiatric) and two university counseling centers. My specialty areas include cutting and eating disorders. I am also interested in seeing clients with depression, anxiety, relationship and family issues, low self-esteem, grief, and trauma. I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). My theoretical approach is integrative, based on an existential-phenomenological orientation and informed by psychodynamic thought, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, interpersonal therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and the information processing model of EMDR.
