| Practice Description: |
Dr. Jeremy Frank is licensed psychologist and certified addiction counselor with a private practice in Philadelphia. As the Coordinator of Campus Alcohol and Substance Awareness at Temple University and past Assistant Director of Health and Counseling at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, he has extensive experience working with diverse clients facing a variety of concerns. Jeremy believes counseling is a collaborative process where clients sort out their thoughts and feelings in order to get a better understanding of who they are. Jeremy believes relationships are integral to who we are and his eclectic approach aims to help people realize what it is they want and need from others and their lives.
He uses an ecclectic but mostly psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral approach but trusts that clients know how to steer the direction for what should be addressed in therapy. Dr Frank is open to sharing his personal thoughts and experiences as a way of helping others to more fully understand themselves. As a recovering alcoholic with over 18 yrs of sobriety he remembers how hard it was to garner the motivation and courage and to begin to finally want to change a behavior. His honesty in sharing his personal experiences often help others to feel more comfortable in seeking help.

| Insurance and Billing Instructions: |
As a licensed psychologist and certified addictions counselor most insurance companies will reimburse some portion of services. However, Dr Frank signs no contracts with insurance companies and so if individuals want as close to full reimbursement as possible they should call their insurance companies and ask for a list of therapists from their insurance company. When therapists sign contracts with insurance companies, they are obligated to practice according to the signed contract. Most clients who chose their own therapist are looking for a particular match or expertise and will have to pay a larger portion of the fee if not all out of pocket. |

| Additional Comments: |
My practice is small and since I work at Temple University full time, I am currently only seeing people privately in the evenings and one afternoon per week. I may only have room for clients/patients who can be seen every other week which does seem to work for many people anyway. I realize how important the match between therapist and client is and so I am very willing to meet as a consultation in order to determine whether a client and I both believe I can be helpful to them. If I cannot I will say so and help them find another therapist better suited for them. Since I was born and raised in Philadelphia by my father and mother, a psychiatrist and social worker respectively, I am very able to work collaboratively when clients need to find additional sources of treatment as well. |
