| Practice Description: |
The clients with whom I work are often struggling with issues of depression, anxiety, intense family conflict, grief, loss, trauma and other significant life problems and clinical diagnoses. My practice includes the treatment of individuals, couples, families and groups, and I have a specialty in working with children, adolescents and families. I also provide parenting classes, support and psychoeducational groups on topics surrounding child and adolescent behavior challenges and parenting issues. My goals include helping families to navigate their most difficult and challenging moments, preventing troubled kids from becoming kids in serious trouble, and helping individuals turn their life's biggest challenges into opportunities for growth and lasting change. I have extensive experience treating child and adult survivors of sexual and physical trauma. I also have clinical expertise working with youth and families around high risk behavior problems (i.e. serious acting out) and school-related problems such as academic failures, school suspensions, bullying, or drug and alcohol abuse.
I have enjoyed over 15 years of experience in the evaluation and treatment of children, adolescents and families and look forward to many more. I am also available for professional training and consultation, and clinical supervision for students or state licensure requirements.
