| Practice Description: |
As a former coach of Olympic athletes for nearly 20 years, I bring a unique, solution-focused, positive perspective to psychotherapy. Though I work with ingrained issues and repeating patterns, I am able to work efficiently and quickly. I specialize in trauma, couples issues , sexual abuse, creative artists' issues, anxiety and depression.
I also believe each person is innately capable of healing and that therapy can be an empowering, life-changing experience.
My approach to psychotherapy is to first look at the underlying biological, psychological and family of origin issues contributing to emotional pain. Links are then provided to current issues so that you may make new, healthier choices. For me, getting to the root of the issue is the key to unlocking a brighter, happier future.
If you feel ready to move past the pain and hurt to a healthier life, I am ready to help you. Give me a call today and we will work together to help get you unstuck and feeling good again.
I have a PhD. in Clinical Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute and am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, MFC 45901. I work with individuals and couples. Though I specialize in working Entertainment Industry people, I am also happy to work with those outside of the Industry.
I am a frequent media contributor to the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, CNN, Forbes, ABC World News Tonight, SELF, Glamour and French Elle Magazines, KTLA and KTTV.
