Please call about my fees, as I offer a sliding scale based on household income. I try to make it a win-win situation, so I will work with you to make therapy affordable.
I accept cash, checks from a local bank, cashier’s checks, Discover, Visa and Mastercard (debit or credit cards).
Payment is due at time of service. |
| Insurance and Billing Instructions: |
I do not accept insurance...and this is why.
1. If you use your insurance to pay for therapy sessions, they will only allow you to receive services from their "in-network" list of professionals. This means that you may or may not be able to see a professional who has experience working with your specific struggles and concerns.
2. If I bill your insurance company, I will have to disclose your mental health status, which I would rather not do since my priority is your confidentiality.
3. If I bill your insurance company, they will dictate how many sessions you are allowed, and since I believe it is important that treatment is tailored to you, I would rather have YOU determine how your therapy is going and how long you need, rather than your insurance company. |
