Practice Description: Do you often feel that you "just can't get over it"? Are traumatic experiences from your past keeping you stuck as you relive them over and over again and feel the same intense emotions? Does the world seem unsafe? Do your own thoughts, emotions, and actions make you feel at risk? If you've answered yes, you are not alone and you do not need to heal from this alone. I work with clients whose past is preventing them from living fully in the present. I guide clients in their transformation from victim to survivor and ultimately to thriver.

We will explore the limiting beliefs that formed as a result of the trauma. Using a variety of tools and approaches, you will begin to access and build upon your hidden resources and strengths. Through this process you'll discover expanded choices and perspectives in all areas of your life.

Meaningful change will occur in how you feel about yourself, relate to others, and pursue your goals. The skills you develop and the therapeutic experiences you have will help you separate what happened to you from who you are, reclaim your life, and live in the here-and-now.

My intention is to create a safe, warm, and supportive therapeutic environment that promotes the development of a rich and collaborative therapeutic relationship. In this context, growth and healing can occur. Therapy is an interactive relationship and together we will build from a foundation of your innate strengths, skills, and wisdom. We will compassionately examine the limiting beliefs that were formed as a result of the trauma. Together we will create a personalized map for recovery. We will use a variety of tools and approaches that will enable you to access your lost or hidden resources and build strong and healthy emotional "muscles". Through this dynamic process you'll discover expanded choices and perspectives in all areas of your life. Meaningful change will occur in how you feel about yourself, form and maintain satisfying relationships, and pursue your personal goals.

I will offer gentle, non-judgmental feedback, encourage and challenge you in a reverent way to stretch in order to grow, and respect your individual pace for this process. The skills you learn and the experiences you have will allow you to separate what happened to you from who you are, reclaim your life, and live in the here-and-now.
