Deborah L. Kagan, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist who has been licensed in Texas since 1991. She works with couples and individual adults of all ages who are experiencing relationship difficulties or other problems in living. She specializes in counseling seniors. Treatment areas include marriage and relationship counseling for communication problems, parenting issues, affairs, and trust issues; individual therapy for self-esteem, anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and anger; and therapy for addiction and codependency.
APPROACH
Dr. Kagan's approach to therapy emphasizes providing a compassionate and respectful setting in which clients can safely confide their frustrations, dreams, and pain and can also become more aware of their strengths and resources. In this setting, clients can clarify their goals and learn more effective ways to deal with life stresses.
