| Practice Description: |
The essence of my counseling approach is that I know each person to be whole and unique regardless of what is currently being experienced. I help clients focus on areas of difficulty with kind acceptance. Knots of anxiety, depression and unhappiness unravel and resolve into greater peace. One begins to know oneself as bigger than the problem. I teach cognitive behavioral skills of mindfulness, centering and focusing to allow a greater repertoire of responses to habitual problem areas. I provide a safe place to explore one's deeper self and resolve issues that block happiness and the realization of potential. I am compassionate, non-judgmental and client-centered.
I have training and experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mediation, Structural Family Therapy, Couples Therapy and am very comfortable with the spiritual aspect of life and have deep respect for all religions.
