| Practice Description: |
My study of Family Systems Theory has been essential to my work as a therapist for families, and has also illuminated my practice with individuals and couples.
The tool set of Family Therapy can be very powerful in an individual therapy context when dealing with issues such as eating disorders, anxiety/panic, and depression. And because our intimate or spousal relationships can often be the screen on which we project our inherited difficulties, the family therapy model can also be a great resource for couples seeking a relationship of balance and longevity.
A Founder and Executive Director of The Womens Therapy Network, I have over 14 years experience in private practice, where I offer a clear, calm and concise therapeutic process in a confidential and supportive environment. My approach is psycho-dynamic and flexible; I value practicality and results over theoretical consistency.
As a former Director of Creative Arts Therapies at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, an understanding of the creative mind and its importance to emotional health continues to inform my work.
