| Practice Description: |
In 25 years as an individual, couples and group psychotherapist I have become very familiar with the change process. The distress that brings people to therapy typically involves, and is reflected in, their relationships. Rich, satisfying, intimate relationships support personal growth and change, decrease depression and help maintain stable mood. The psychotherapeutic relationship is a steppingstone on this path. Our work together will increase your self awareness. We will focus these insights to enable changes to create the life you want. Building self esteem, self acceptance, and comfort in social interactions are my particular strengths. Increased enjoyment of intimacy will result.
I will work with you in a respectful, dependable, honest, open, and direct manner. You can expect careful attention, active listening, and open inquiry exploring your character, experiences, choices, and options. The process will allow you to see hope that a more satisfying life is both possible and attainable.
I provide a comfortable, private, and secure environment for your work. My office is set in a quiet Georgetown garden courtyard with convenient parking options. I will carefully protect your confidentiality. I enjoy my work and the experience of understanding my clients. Come in and see if we work well together.
