At different points in time, life can be difficult and it can help to gain a fresh perspective. The break up of a relationship or a strained relationship, the loss of someone close, conflict with one's family, excessive worry, an inability to make an important decision, employment issues and the loss of confidence in oneself are all situations that I have handled in my 25 years of working as a psychotherapist.
I am institute trained, and I teach and supervise candidates who are in training to become psychotherapists. This breadth of experience adds to the warm and supportive environment that I provide to children, adolescents and adults in my private practice in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
My approach is psychodynamic. Depending on your needs, the therapy can be short term or longer and more in-depth. whether short or long term, I always work with the aim of increasing and deepening self understanding and enabling you to discover real and workable solutions.
