| Practice Description: |
I can help those of you who struggle with feeling unsafe to access the courage to be yourself. By helping you understand how you relate to yourself, I can guide you to view your sensitivity and vulnerability as strength, not weakness. This knowledge will lead to an inherent sense of safety and joy. Such joy will bring more meaning to your life.
I provide somatic psychotherapy for individuals and couples in Berkeley. My areas of expertise include fear, depression/anxiety, chronic physical pain, divorce and its impact on children, impasse in relationship and working specifically with men on their relationship to themselves and their emotions, self-identity and sexual issues.
Somatic psychotherapy uses present moment mind-body awareness to guide us down a path towards greater wholeness. As you experience the present moment (in the body) and integrate those experiences (within the mind), your awareness expands. This allows for letting go of both the static holding patterns and the old beliefs and emotions associated with past wounding.
I look forward to assisting you in discovering your unique strengths and gifts.
